  • A small town in addition to famous brands of beer and owns the Castle Plassenburg, which involve many historical figures of France and Germany. On his excursions to the Museum, unfortunately only in German. But the Museum Tin figurines, it is interesting to visit, to see what can be doigrat'sja in toy soldiers.

  • Really featured exhibitions, especially the pewter exhibition is fascinating. The exposition of the Prussian army is very instructive.

  • Plassenburg in Kulmbach, above the town rises the imposing fortress. By approx. Middle of the 14Jh. in the year 1791 was a Prussian fortress the fortress owned by the Frankish Hohenzollern, then until 1806. in 1559, this Renaissance building was created with a very impressive arcade courtyard. It is equipped with a versatile relief decoration. It should be the most beautiful Renaissance Court North of the Alps. This fortress houses very interesting museums. 1.das German Tin figurine Museum (largest collection in Germany with impressive dioramas) "Frederick the great" 2.das Army Museum (in 32 showcases historical militaria between 1700 and 1806) photograph ban 3.das Hohenzollern Museum in Franconia (impressive premises from the 16.Jahrhundert) of the city can be reached on foot to the Castle. Careful, it's a 22% slope on the way. Alternative, the shuttle bus to the Castle. Departure on the market square (just works) at the central bus stops. Exit 8: 40Uhr. Fares back and forth: ERW. 2.60 and child aged 4 years €1,50 terminus in the lower courtyard of the fortress. Directions to the museums can be viewed very badly. Up go the way next to the fountain. Museum ticket office left in the courtyard. Ticket price for all 3 museums €7,00, child free. For any Museum, you get an extra chip. The first release again, until you get the next. Entrance to the pewter Museum other side of the Court, over five floors. Length of time for this Museum alone minimum 90 minutes. A big problem in Kulmbach, the parking in the streets, maximum 3 hours = cost € 1.80. Bottom line: worth a visit!
