  • Amazing place! The scale of the building is enormous! So many activities. Either you enjoy spending time in Jacuzzi, swimming, or spend time visiting the attractions, you will certainly have the time of your life. The sellers are coming from different countries so you might even get the information in your mother tongue. Cool accommodation and nice heatedly people will surround you.
  • It was very busy but great for kids and adults. Good selection of food/ restaurants. Lots of different pools and slides for all ages. Good fun.
  • Really big. Lots of lockers. Plenty to do for families. A few water slides, all fun, long waits. They also have alcohol and overnight accommodations. We spent the whole day there and saw everything that was open. They even have live plants and flamingos!
  • Our kids and we as well enjoyed the place. We had what to do all the time during two full days stay. Very good breakfas included even if you stay at beach tent. Warm water was big advantage for me. Highly reccomended we will come back one day for sure.
  • At first we were really enthusiastic about going to tropical island. When we arrived we found he area inside is really cool! The water temperature is perfect and we really liked the different kinds of swimming pools and the jungle. Also the outside area is nice and we really enjoyed the breakfast, which had a big variety of food and drinks and is amazing. However there were quite some things that unfortunately disappointed us. When we arrived we had to wait quite long before being able to check in. We waited like 10-15 min. Also when we wanted to rent a towel we went to the check in to ask for one. Only one person was working there and people got unpatient cause it took so long. Also for us it took about 10-15 min to hear that we should go somewhere else to rent the towel. When we went there I had to pay a deposit of 30 euro for just one towel (!!). So that means when someone would for example grab my towel while it would be laying or hanging somewhere I wouldn't have gotten the 30 euros back and I would have payed 30 euros for a towel, which is a ridiculous amount of money for just a towel. Because of this I was often afraid to for example hang the towel to dry outside the tent in case someone would take it away. In the evening we had to go out for dinner in tropical island. Quickly we recognized the options for vegetarians were not too great (we are both vegetarians). The only possibilities were: get some unhealthy food like fries at the "snackbar area", get some food at the walking buffet, but that also did not seem very tasty for vegetarians and consisted mostly out of things with meat or fish, have a expensive vegetarian dish at the expensive/fancy restaurant, or have one choice at the Asian place. We went for the last option. They only have one option at the Asian, which is a wok dish including meat, fish and vegetables. We mentioned we are vegetarian and they said they would prepare something for us. Then they brought us the regular dish with meat, fish and vegetables. When I said we are vegetarian the waitress pointed at the vegetables and said: "but you can eat this". Like we would pay for everything but just eat the vegetables... Eventually they changed it and the fish and meat plates got replaced by two more vegetable plates and we asked for a bit more rice and tofu, because otherwise we would pay the same amount for just vegetables, while meat and fish is way more expensive than vegetables. Eventually they also brought us a bit more rice and some more tofu. Unfortunately the taste of the tofu and vegetables was not very exciting. I think there really should be more veggie options, since vegetarianism and eating less meat is getting more common, especially in Germany. Another thing that was a pity was that we both woke up quite early because it got so warm in the tent which made it impossible to continue sleeping. We opened the front part of the tent, but this was not enough for cooling it down. There is one small opening with a net at the back, but this is really not enough to make it cooler. It would be better to be able to open for example also the back or top of the tent if you wish. Lastly the lost and found service is just bad. I accidentally left my bikini in the shower just before we left tropical island. It was a new and quite expensive bikini so I really wanted to have it back and also would have payed for that. When I called about 2 hrs after we left the only answer I got was that I had to send an email and the cleaning service might find it that evening. It was simply not possible to send someone there to get my bikini out of the shower and put it somewhere safe. Great... I think it's not such a big deal to just walk there or maybe drive there, since they have small vehicles with people driving around the area. Eventually I got an email back they of course did not find my bikini. I am sure when they would have gone there immediately they would have found it... Such a pity of these disappointments, because the area itself is amazing! I hope tropical island will improve these things.
