  • The Cathedral looks very imposing from the outside. Unfortunately, the Interior is very dark. The organ is relatively new. The Church in Konstanz-Dettingen is very recommended.

  • The Cathedral is not only its importance during the Council of 1414-1418 due to a reason for a visit, but also because of the many historical details and architectural styles. The (free!) is worthwhile in any case Visit the crypt, the oldest part of the monastery from the 11th and 13th century., etc. may be information panels with old vaulted corridors, imposing ancient wall paintings fire-gilded copper washers one not entirely clueless and still gazing back. Very interesting also the Mauritius Rotunda and cloister with coat of arms plaques. Of course, there are also in the actual nave and side chapels to see lots of! (Unfortunately, the Tower, which is certainly very worthwhile to climb, was closed in March because of renovations).

  • The Münster is situated in the old town. The stained glass Windows are wonderful. The two Kappelen are beautiful. There is much to see. The wall paintings preserved in part are fascinating.

  • Cute little church. The statue of Mary near the main altar is especially interesting, as she appears to be pregnant, but has baby Jesus sitting on her lap!
  • One of the largest Romanesque churches in south west Germany with Gothic elements (like the tower) which have been added in later years. The towers have been restored and you climb up one of the towers for a minor fee. On a sunny day you have a great panoramic view over Konstanz and the Bodensee (Lake of Constance). Don't miss a visit of the crypt (one of the oldest parts of the church dating back to 900 A.D.) where several fire-gilded copper discs are exhibited. Leaving the church through a door close to the Konradikapelle (chapel of Konrad) you get to the Mauritiusrotunde (built in 904 A.D.), a small round chapel which imitates the monument of the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem before 1009.
  • The church is quite pretty. For 2 euros you can walk up the tower (not for claustro- or acrophobic people) where you get a unique view of the old town and Bodensee.
  • nice place
  • Nice little church. There's no admittance fee unless you want to go up the tower.
