  • We have looked at the exhibition and reading around the three investigators, and enjoyed. The family ticket €18 was appropriate. The exhibition, unfortunately hardly any visitors, we liked. The time up to the reading, we looked at the visit to the library (recommended), and shortened the Aussichttsterrasse (€ 1 for adults). Architecturally a successful Museum. The visit has made us fun.

  • I wouldn't normally spend an hour and a half looking at a large collection of artwork from about 1400 to the present day, particularly if it did not contain blockbuster names. This one is very good. W...  more »
  • Founded in 1835, Mittelrhein Museum is one of the oldest and most prestigious civic museums in Germany. After several relocations, it has found wide spaces in the Forum Confluentes which allow a modern presentation of the extensive collection. The municipal art collection in a permanent exhibition will be shown on the first floor. Works ranging of the 50s and the actual painting from medieval painting of the Baroque and 19th century art to modern, abstract. The historical and cultural influences of the Church, of the Electoral Court and the bourgeoisie are also discussed and presented with paintings and sculptures. The basement provides space for temporary exhibitions. For the first time, receive visitors and digital access to the entire collection of the Museum of fine arts and can work after registration in the Museum Library.
