  • This fort is worth a visit but not spectacular. It's far too much as tourist attraction. There is still little original to this whole fort.

  • Interesting place lots of history ( most of info in German ) and superb views. There are couple of food stops around for a bite to eat at reasonable prices. Lovely day out when the sun shines.  more »
  • Visit the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein, at a Koblenz, visit simply is a must. Alone, if you use the cable car since the BUGA 2011 installed as arrival, which is already bombastic. The views of the Rhine and that approaching the fortress, is more than worth a visit. That same result, turns on the return journey. Right that Deutsches Eck with the Emperor still image and look at the Mosel flows into the Rhine. Left an overview over the whole city with the outstanding church towers. But back to the fortress. That throughout the year various events take place. The State Museum is permanently installed. The views from the fortress is gigantic. Large parts of the Rhine and the Moselle river are visible. There is a larger number of locations. Hunger and thirst are likely to be covered. Also, the fortress of BUGA holds times of a Vista system, from which you can shoot beautiful images. Also beherberigt the fortress still a modern hostel, where you can stay in a small purse. Lots of open air events take place in the summer. It is beyond the scope, to enumerate all. So, if one is in Koblenz, must man the fortress not miss visit

  • Huge place to visit. Great views available over the town and rivers below. Variety of museums and exhibitions on offer inside (random ones while we were there included a collection of ice-age animal models, and a very entertaining photography collection about puns on modern day life) plus lots of obligatory war-related stuff in the fortress. Gardens outside it were quite pleasant too.
  • The views are spectacular. The fortress is vaste but not impressive. Absolutely no information in English only German.
  • Audio guides were very detailed. Perhaps a bit too much as there was a time limit on them so we had to rush to complete it all. The exhibitions are well worth spending some time in them.
  • Awesome place but shocking rude service at the Kiosk selling wine and beer. The place had just closed (10 min early) and the lady rudely demanded glass be handed over and never even said thank you when we did. Will be taking my own drinks in future.
  • Tremendously big area, lots and lots of info cards, if you're lucky you'll get some nice views of the city
