  • Was this the Museum several times. The young Museum, exhibits all the time change occurred. In comparison with similar museums in Moscow or St. Petersburg. Little explanatory plaques near the exhibits. Entry in 2015 year was free and has paid v2017-3 euro. The Museum is closed in winter. Works in normal mode, like all Museum, with only 1 July to the end of September. and so it should be on the site of the Museum to learn about the best time to visit. But the Museum organized pokatushki on locomotives for freight station Koblenz from the southern to the Northern neck. Sam went on an electric locomotive E40. In the exposition of the Museum is personal wagon someone from fascist bonzes. Locomotives in the exposition of just three. So for the overall development, what would be the impression of the German railway.

  • One of my favorite railway museums. You can really get up close with the trains and they don't hand-guide you through the exhibits. You are free to wander and explore, and in many cases touch and climb into the cabs of some of Germany's most storied locomotives and rail cars. The museum is run by the DB, and you will likely see many of their volunteers who are busy working and restoring equipment. If they're not too busy, they may let you into the cab of a loco not on exhibit or tell you more history or mechanical information. If you are at all interested in the bahn or its history, this is simply a must-do when in the region. The museum costs 2-3 Euros entry and is an easy 10-minute walk from the frequently-served Koblenz-Lützel station.
  • Some great locomotives there and coaches from the past, some favourites like the TEE unit from the 60's and several steam loco's too, worth the 3 euro each for a bit of nostalgia.
  • Great museum of the DB railways, it is mostly a restoration yard that you can walk around and look at the various locomotives and rolling stock of the German railways.
  • Nice display of DB history.
  • What a great place - check out what is probably the largest fleet of German Electrolocomotives from the 60s and 70s in various DB paint schemes.
