  • It needs good physical activity to clim all the stairs up there, but it is really worth it. The view is wonderful.
  • It is worth time and again in Kassel to climb up the Hercules. Of course over the countless steps!

  • I recommend everyone to visit the Hercules during a visit to Kassel. Not for nothing, this monument as a world heritage site was chosen. Also the drum around is just stunning!

  • This place is very interesting, too although being repaired, wonderful for relaxation. To see the statue of Hercules you have to go up many high steps to reach the top...and see the waterfall at 2 pm everyday. There are two ways to get to the waterfall, 1st way is to go down the steps, the 2nd way is to go through the forest....very romantic and convenient for people who use wheelchairs...
  • The site has been undergoing renovations so several huge ugly cranes mar the view. The fountains and water features were turned off during our visit in July. They don't run continuously so you have to time your visit carefully to catch them. Be prepared for lots of other visitors. From the statue, you have nice views of the town of Kassel. I wouldn't go out of my way to see just the statue or fountains, but the surrounding woods have beautiful hiking, and Löwenburg is a pretty castle down the hill from the statue.
  • Good day out, but wish it hadn't been so warm. When we went the fountains weren't working and there was a lot of tower cranes and builders doing refurbishment. Still a good day and great view from the top
  • Interesting statue and good views of the park and city. Currently being renovated though. Worth the detour if you're passing through.
  • Wonderful view from the top of pyramide! Building itself is nothing special and was under reconstruction when I visited it.
