Rotes Kliff, Kampen

(4.8/5 based on 35+ reviews on the web)
Face the open sea and admire the view at Rotes Kliff. Standing between two villages, the cliff stretches for 52 m (170 ft) on the west part of the island. Visit the historical recognition point for ships that still stands as a bright rust red natural phenomenon which gave the cliffs their name. Bring a picnic basket and sit back to soak up the sun as you enjoy the fresh sea breeze blowing from the sandy beach under the cliffs. Wear sunscreen to avoid sunburn as there is no shade nearby. A visit to Rotes Kliff represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Kampen trip generator to plot your vacation.

  • From a quick look at the Uwe Dune, a long evening walk (January) was including on the Red Cliff. From above one has great views of the Sea (certainly with sunsets particularly to recommend). We have seen the cliffs from the beach during our last walk: impressive. The cliff is a trip worth... always on the official paths remain!

  • It can be wonderfully on the North Sea Beach and on the cliffs of Kampen to Wenningstedt walk is recommended for outdoor and hiking enthusiasts. Even the North Sea Beach - I know nothing better than to walk there!

  • From the car park is on foot approx. 500m up to the footbridge in the dunes. Here, you can enjoy the beautiful view and stay on beautiful benches. Then it's down to the beach through the dunes. Here is the cliff of at Marvel. In addition we could look at the river reeds and the Wadden Sea. You should necessarily put boots to make one not reasonably must turn back due to a larger mud hole. Man can go a larger round along the beach, where you come out at the parking lot, or you can go back the main way (without having again over the dunes). In any case a particularly beautiful part of the world with many colors on the cliff. Some panels explain the origin of the different color (the sands are part of meadow 10 millions years old!). We very enjoyed habene s and will be safely back here at your next holiday in Sylt. Note: there is a toilet in the parking lot! (if you from the parking lot after approx. 200m left) or directly on the beach
