Fritz-Walter-Stadium, Kaiserslautern
(4.6/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web)
Perched atop a hill just outside the city, Fritz-Walter-Stadium claims the top-ranked Fußball-Club Kaiserslautern. Built first in 1920, the structure was most recently renovated between 2002 and 2005 in preparation for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The capacity increased from 38,500 to 48,500, and the new floodlight system helps everyone see the action better. Attending a match puts you in a lively atmosphere among the many dedicated fans. A free shuttle system to the stadium is available if you have tickets to a game. • The reason for the visit was for once not a home game, but a stadium tour. The stadium tour was very informative and entertaining design. Through them, it was possible to learn that you didn't know before a faithful fan or another detail to the legendary Stadium. In addition to the tour of the players tunnel, the press room and the VIP rooms were further focal points. What did miss me personally during this tour, is the West curve. She was indeed mentioned a few times, but never enter.

  • Tour lasts 1.5 hours and is held in German only unfortunately. Admission is 15 euros. Posh Stadium.

  • At and departure, as well as the parking situation is very bad. The drinks and food supply is poorly resolved. The mood is for very good and peaceful.

  • The game was outstanding! We had a great time before, during and after fußballspiel.
  • Einzigartiges Gefühl auf dem Betzenberg!
  • Very well organized. Food and drink selection is very good. Atypically for a stadium. Unfortunately, as in any stadium too long lines. P + R shuttle service is strongly recommended.

  • Still one of the best stadiums in Germany. The atmosphere is just great!

  • Every time a sublime feeling if you climb the steps to the stadium up. Justpay staff is sufficient. Operation on drinks and food stalls, plus security staff of friendly (home fans). Mood class. Only drawback: parking-not
