  • ... you can here, provided that the force is not too large. Hörnum was populated only with the construction of the lighthouse and the House of Hapag in 1900. To leave, with the possibility of dare is recruited to guests. Because they are not as numerous as at times by Albert Ballin, the Onassis of the 19th century, a railway line of Hörnum to Westerland built, which today is used as a cycle path.

  • Worth a visit in any case. The tour lasts one hour. Interesting info. The tower was also previously a dwarf school home and can also still used today for marriage (Registrar's Office).

  • The lighthouse of Hörnum...... is released for the tour. Moreover future marriages in airy heights will be possible. Visitors have the opportunity to climb the spiral staircase of about 33 meter high tower which in turn sits on a 17 m high dune. On about 5o metres above sea level is a fantastic view over the whole island of Sylt to over to the neighbouring islands of Amrum and Föhr. The tours take place every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00. The visitors group includes up to 10 people. The "Tower-ticket" is available exclusively at the tourism service Hörnum on presentation of the Sylt Island Spa card and costs z. ZT. for adults €5.00, children (minimum age: 8 years) €2.50. As a souvenir each participant a "visitors"certificate for 1, 00 € purchase. An accomplished leader knows how to report some exciting and hilarious episode to the "Summit"strikers from the story of the 1907 built Tower - about from the time when the lighthouse of in Germany hosted the smallest school.
