  • The Devil's table of Hinterweidenthal is an impressive mushroom rocks in the Dahner Felsenland, in the heart of the Palatinate forest. He is a natural monument of large regional reputation. Easy to reach, parking is scarce for 50 cent / 30 min. The way from the parking lot is short, there are many steps to cope with. Many hiking trails lead to the rock around. There are many mushroom rocks in the area, but this is the largest and most striking. At the parking lot, which was "amusement park Devil's table" built a large playground with minigolf facilities and as a giant slide. There are restaurants on site and on the playground, there are public restrooms. The Devil's table was pictured on postage stamps and 2006 in the list of 77 recorded "National Geotopes" in Germany. It is a landmark of the region and an absolute must for all nature lovers and (hobby) geologists believe especially when you're (Rhineland) Germany.

  • The Devil's table in itself is worth a visit, but really excited the game park for children has made me.

  • Recently been there and it was a good experience. The so called devils table is only 300 m from the parking place. But it was very nice to roam around and after that did lunch at nearby restaurants an...  more »

  • 15-20 minute walk to the top of the hill to devil's table. The main rock is up stairs to the left. View at the top is only OK but the sandstone rock formation is very cool. You can take several other hikes from there too. Go up the hill to the right instead of left and into the woods for rock cliff and several smaller rock formations you can climb on. There is a great little playground, two restaurants and putt putt at the bottom of the hill near the parking lot.
  • A great place to have a nice day in the woods. On many postcards you can find this scenery. And that's for a reason. It's like a hub for beautiful day trips.
  • To the real attraction is a beautiful landscaped nature park, with a 50 m-long slide and other playing facilities for children. Right next to it, a country pub just around to satisfy hunger and thirst. A beautiful destination in the Palatinate, that you have to see.

  • Beautiful destination for families. The Devil's table itself is easy to reach and very impressive. Below the Devil's table, there is a great free Adventure Park for children with a large rock slide that was fun to us adults.

  • Absolutely stunning natural formation, that you should look at if you're in the area. Below the Devil's table is a restaurant with a large playground. Very good for families.
