  • Take time and visit the place and surrounding location more than once, every season there is something to see, quickly, you can see the HD a village is all languages where quickly, everyone knows everyone and that students and tourists are soon noticed, the "rest", spoken here, all cultures seen. The restaurateurs can it be to whip out the outdoor seating in case of signs of the Sun and to tap a fresh, so you can chill atmosphere and charm of a very old, very young city (village) enjoy :-)

  • Any time of the year this place offers good eats. beautiful scenery and lovely people. this is a university city and hub for artist. this city never industrialized and you can tell from it's charm. little hidden gems are to be found everywhere. food and shopping galore. insider tip go see Mark Twains apartment still in it's original condition and visit the anthropological museum and see the oldest human fossil in Europe. Not to mention all of the memorials to the various mastermind that congregated here. very touristy all year round but is also a hot spot for locals.
  • This was definitely a place. The name did not lie. Unless you thought the German word "platz" meant something more like "barnacle" in which case the name did lie. I saw no barnacles in this place.
  • Charming town square. Many of the most important sites are within walking distance.

  • Historical Place. Authentic old German. Very nice to walk around the small ways between the old german houses.
