Take the funicular or drive up to King's Throne (Konigstuhl), where you'll find breathtaking views of city of Heidelberg, the River Neckar, and the Rhine Valley stretching out below. If the sky is clear, you can see all the way to the Pfaelzerwald Forest, 50 km (31 mi) away. Stop for refreshments at the mountaintop restaurant, and take advantage of the many walking paths.   • Very nice view at Heidelberg and the surrounding area, nice to walk around a bit or above also to have a drink at the small restaurant

  • You can take the bus or drive high mountain railway, there are large car parks. In any weather, the view is impressive because quite unlike you take for example rain if you look over the Neckar Valley. Fog, it may well be that it comes up out and blue sky. In the winter you can sledge the Kohlhof or until the whey cure down the carriage way (and then back up the mountain railway). Boot up with the bike is fun and there are written out (but reserved to the Club) downhill.

  • Nice place for a panoramic view of the Heidelberg city. It is also possible go there by the cable car.
