  • Friedrich Ebert is now fairly well known. There is a road named after him also almost in every German city. Ebert, - as some said, "The preliminary"-, was the 1st President of the German Reich after the 1st World War. (It was supposed that this time ' 3. rich call; and the 'normal' ' 3. rich ' the 4th Reich; would make counting more correctly). -So, Ebert was born in Heidelberg, Germany. I learned that now.

  • Interesting facts about German (and world) political history. We'll presented and the English tour guide was a joy to follow.
  • An often overlooked gem in Heidelberg's old town: The small apartment of birth of Friedrich Ebert can be visited for free, there are an interesting and well-crafted permanent exhibition about his life and the political developments at the beginning of the last Century. There are also temporary exhibitions, such as the Warsaw Uprising and it guided tours and lectures are offered regularly. You can stay here a quarter of an hour or even two hours and will not be disappointed!
