  • As one of the first large and ambitious museums, the Hanover State Museum has many tags of the permanent exhibitions behind him. The latest have become really good - Dinos, aquariums and terrariums show the animal world in different regions and times, the history of mankind will be shown clearly on the 1st floor. All tags are created in 2016, new media and a friendly, bright look are now of course. For children there are here and there what to touch and click. There's always a (usually very well-made) special exhibition on changing topics, and on the 2nd floor still the land gallery - a huge collection of paintings of famous artists of Impressionism and expressionism. To refuel in between the Café is highly recommended - small but nice and child friendly.

  • This museum has a nice large collection of art (paintings) as well as cultural artifacts and even an aquarium. The second floor has a really nice overview of human evolution too. My only issue was tha...  more »
  • Lower Saxony Landesmuseum is an interesting compilation of Archeology and ethnography, art and wildlife. On the ground floor of the Museum, visitors can get acquainted with the rich wildlife of the planet, particularly interesting aquariums with live fish, singing frogs, Aviary with skeleton dinosaur and live lizards. The second floor offers a brief history of a squeeze to get acquainted with a person here and monuments from the first parking Neanderthals, and Roman coins have been found in Germany, and rare rarities from zaokenskih travel. The third floor will be interesting to fans of painting. It was nice to find in the collection of Rodin and Renoir.

  • Great to visit with the kids. The ground floor aquariums are a real hit.
  • The painting are really nice and valuable, but it was sad that the description were all in German. I also think that the name of museum should be something related to art!
  • Very disappointing. A wing was closed which normally houses quite a collection. I'm not a fan of paintings, so there wasn't much left that I found interesting. The museum isn't international. Everything is in German. No English information.
  • The precursor of the Museum, which opened in the presence of King George V on 23 February 1856 the Museum of Arts and Sciences. [1] The building is still in use today as the Kunstlerhaus Hannover.
