4.4/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web
Erlebnis Zoo Hannover first opened its doors in 1865, making this one of Germany's oldest zoological parks. As you wander the 22 hectares (54.3 acres) of exhibits and habitats, you'll notice lush, realistic enclosures. The zoo prides itself on having few visible barriers between visitors and its 3,500 animals. You can walk through seven regions of the world, including the Zambezi, Yukon Bay, the Outback, and Gorilla Mountain. Follow the 5 km (3.1 mi) explorer path for the recommended route through the zoo. Ask about a guided tour if you'd like to learn more about the zoo's residents and its conservation efforts. Children will also enjoy the petting zoo and several playgrounds. • Gladly we come back in this zoo, and he is one of the most beautiful zoos we have visited so far but the price for the day ticket €25 is worth quite expensive but the money.

  • worth a visit. Especially when one also knows other zoos, the Hanover Zoo is rather Safarimässig what super arrives with the children.

  • A beautiful zoo with great open spaces for the animals and beautiful amusement park of similar Zoenen of Earth from Africa, Alaska, India etc. to a beautiful old North German village with restaurants, many Abbot expensive playgrounds for children and tollemn picnic and gastronomic possibilities. We visit the Zoo for years and always love to return drive. One of the most beautiful places in Hanover. A full day visit the stay with a similar theme park and the price/performance ratio is OK

  • Very good zoo - recommend everyone to visit. It will take you at least 5 hours for a shirt visit - don't miss shows and feeding. Service is good, restaurant prices are ok. Entrance fee is 25EUR, but it worth every cent.
  • We went there as a group of 10 for a animal challenge with dinner at Gasthaus Meyer afterwards. The challenge took 2 hours and was real fun. We were able to see the newborn baby hipo behind the scenes with our Scout Tim. We have all enjoyed it. The food in the end was rather boring. Unfortunately nothing special, but we had still a lot of fun as a group.
  • My favourite zoo in central Europe (I've been to many), food can be expensive but is expected, you can always pack food as tables are free to use without purchase of food. entrance ticket includes everything from shows at scheduled times and boat rides showing off some enclosures up close like the giraffe enclosure and various others.
  • Great zoo. Spend 3 days here before we saw it all. One day 7 hours. Only minus is that no info is in English. It is only a zoo for people who speak German.
  • I love this zoo. All the eye for details in the different sections. The playground at the end is just a perfect bonus for the kids.
