Erlebnis Zoo Hannover first opened its doors in 1865, making this one of Germany's oldest zoological parks. As you wander the 22 hectares (54.3 acres) of exhibits and habitats, you'll notice lush, realistic enclosures. The zoo prides itself on having few visible barriers between visitors and its 3,500 animals. You can walk through seven regions of the world, including the Zambezi, Yukon Bay, the Outback, and Gorilla Mountain. Follow the 5 km (3.1 mi) explorer path for the recommended route through the zoo. Ask about a guided tour if you'd like to learn more about the zoo's residents and its conservation efforts. Children will also enjoy the petting zoo and several playgrounds. Our Hannover journey tool makes visiting Erlebnis Zoo Hannover and other Hannover attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Very nice place to take your kids. Many eating options in general but limited vegetarian. Good ice cream. Lots to walk. O will recommend the sea lion and otter show. Bus and tram stop nearby. Enjoy!
Very nice and well maintained place. Kids and family must enjoy the zoo. One can spend the whole day with lots of animals and shows. I am definitely recommending this place to visit.
Great day at the zoo. The best one I have ever been to. Very easy to get to by public transport. Spent 4 hours there and still hadn't seen everything. Would love to make a return visit if I am ever back this way.
Beautiful Zoo with a lot to do and see. It's really great for children, too. Unfortunately they were doing some constructions so some things weren't there anymore (near the playground) but overall it was a really great afternoon!
One of the best zoo in Europe. You can easily spend whole day there. My son didn't want to leave it after 10 hours being there.
