Volksparkstadion, Hamburg

(4.3/5 based on 260 reviews on the web)
Home to the German Bundesliga club Hamburger SV, Volksparkstadion was one of the stadiums used during the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The site has been home to a stadium since 1925, though it was rebuilt in 1953 and again in 1998, due to increasing safety concerns and the need for greater capacity. If you aren't in town for a soccer match or a concert, take a tour of the stadium, or visit the museum to learn about its history. Make Volksparkstadion part of your personalized Hamburg itinerary using our Hamburg tourist route planner.

  • The station is super, all seats very well on the playing field. The seating is comfortable and pretty well protected by the roof. The journey is a disaster. You must come early, otherwise you stand by half Hamburg into a snake. Parking facilities are then may be very far away. Public buses are unfortunately not a solution.

  • We were in the middle of the week at the stadium in a DFB - Pokal match. The stadium is food and drinks prima, views of the pitch good, folder despite his age quite well, quickly. The public transport links is bad. By S-Bahn to walk at least 20 minutes, totally crowded shuttle bus. There were only 43,000 in the stadium, not even sold out. Full House so even more difficult there to come. There should be certainly better solutions.

  • The stadium is always worth a visit, only to the game, or the restaurant with fan shop. If there's even a super game, always beautiful.

  • If you're ever around Hamburg and get an opportunity to watch a game or event here, please do. Great atmosphere, high energy and overall a fun experience.
  • Hello i Sharif live in Egypt 28 years I've been a player staunch defender and a fierce but I left football three years ago due to illness and my father because I was poor, but rich in myself and in the hearts of others, I am very angry because of what happens to the team. I hope to get a chance to train the team
  • Really cool stadium with great stuff. I was here at AC/DC concert and everything is pretty well.
  • Great atmosphere, but actually HSV doesn't really plays good.
  • Lots to drink and eat. Good atmosphere
