  • Hhere is where most of the guided tours (walking ) start and the information you get is quite eye opening. You pay what you think it was worth at the end.  more »
  • The Hamburg Town Hall (Rathaus) was built at the end of the 19th century, and it's a very nice building. When I visited (beginning of March 2020) guided tours were cancelled, but it was still...  more »
  • One of the largest Town Halls in Europe. And also one of the most lavish, not to say opulent, in furnishing, design and decor. Nothing was spared here: gold, marble, intarsia etc, etc. The majestic...  more »

  • Parlament is a beautiful restaurant tucked away in the basement of the equally beautiful town hall building in Hamburg. The restaurant is dark and romantic, with amazing architectural details, commanding furniture, candlelit tables, and a gorgeous, illuminated full bar in the center of the enormous room. I
  • Beautiful inside and out. Open to the public during certain hours Monday-Sunday. There is also a cafe/restaurant in the basement.
  • A Remarkable seat of "local government". This lovely building hosts the city and state governments-- and was built about 120+ years ago! It is larger than Buckingham Palace-- and the sculptured ceilings add to its beauty. The interior and exterior decorations are meant to emphasise the "power and wealth" of the city and state. The building, and its grounds have been awarded TripAdvisor's coveted "Certificate of Excellence" by travellers like you and I. It is centrally located, open to the public, and a tour is free of charge. A visit will be "most memorable" and add to one;s memories of Hamburg and its diverse attractions. I hope that this Review has been helpful!
  • Beautiful Architecture and the building itself tells so much about the history of Hamburg. Must visit!
  • An amazing building to get information about the History of Hamburg. It is easily accessible by U Bahn. It is a huge building with extreme carvings and statues. Generally there are guides around the building who makes various type of tour like Hamburg city tour, Night tours and Bar tours. One must visit this place if you are in Hamburg.
