Stadtpark, Hamburg

Categories: Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web
Opened in 1914, Stadtpark is a public park in a suburb of Hamburg that is a fine example of 20th-century German landscaping. The green space is in the middle of an area of urban development and often hosts events, such as concerts, fairs, and exhibits. Paved paths provide roads for bicyclists and walkers, while the large sports center at the southeast corner has indoor swimming facilities and room for sports. In the northwest corner you'll find a planetarium with daily shows. Take a leisurely stroll throughout the park, and you'll see sculptures and cafes amid the gardens. Put Stadtpark on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Hamburg trip itinerary maker.

  • The Hamburg City Park is located north of downtown in the District of Winterhude. It was opened in 1914. Of the 148-acre park offers plenty of interesting leisure. In addition to the usual green areas especially the Adam and Eve have a great garden and the Pavilion at the Penguin well us. The entire Park is very well kept. Walking, you will repeatedly on statues and monuments, you can still watch.

  • Place for everything you would like to do jogging , playgrounds, boat rentals, outdoor swimming, soccer.
  • A resident or a local: this place cannot be missed! Great for outdoor play for grown ups and/or children, to have lunch, make a grill, take a dip in a natural pool, jog, walk your dog, rent a row/paddle/pedal boat and take a tour across many canals of Hamburg, or to take your own RC boat for a spin and show off in front of kids. There's also a very big playground with its own children-save large pond that comes as salvation for hot days, a large planetarium with a nice panorama terrace at its top (free access), mini-golf course, snack bar, beer garden. This place is really big, clean, safe, well maintained, and is easily accessible by public transportation.
  • Stadtpark is always nice, kids can play on the playgrounds or in the large pool (for a lack of a better term). The place is large enough to offer rather calm places to have a picnic or just hang around.
  • Must be place if you be in hamburg and the weather is good . biggest gras field in town for thousands of people .huge barbecue area but you have to bring your own grill .
  • Great place for a walk, lazy weekends, swimming, outdoor fun :)
  • Very nice place for walking, sport activities or just relaxing. Several locations for drinks and food. Very crowdy in the summer time.
