  • We have encountered the Museum during a walk through the Speicherstadt and spontaneously went in. The Museum is quite nice up (interesting exhibits). Unfortunately, my questions to the sold goods could not be answered.

  • Small musuem bit dated but you can smell the spices. Not much info on English. Nice to see old grinding machines and be in old warehouse. Shop on same floor has great selection of spices and teas too....  more »
  • We came out here with great expectations, but then disappointed. It comes before we in an antique-made presentation room of the company Fuchs spices. The presented selection of spice can be found in every big supermarket, and you can see some old machines that the spices were edited, bags in which they were transported and photos that show partial extraction of the raw material. Expected we'd have here knowledgeable staff that answers questions, presents the individual spices and explained, and maybe running the one or the other machine. Get at least a bag of black peppercorns for the entrance fee. We have bought the Saffron then cheaper when the Iranians this right next door.

  • A small museum, but worth it if you love spices.
  • Quite small. Takes about half an hour or so to walk around it and it's up several flights of stairs.
  • Naja
  • Not worth it at all! Basically it is too small and it hasn't any interesting thing to see or do. Entry is 4€ and it has just one room.
  • Absolutely this museum does not do justice the entry of €5. Some old machines, the biggest part takes a cafe one, which could not be uncomfortable, the open spices have lost all the typical scents for decades. In short, very disappointing. Opposite is a spice trader. There's a lot more interesting than in the Museum. More spices, video, a variety of salts and spices, all also to the taste. AND no entrance fee :-)
