  • Some nice elements but very expensive considering the small number of exhibits. In my opinion unless you're a German car fanatic you'll leave disappointed.
  • The Prototype Car Museum is a very small place to be "the best" museum but it still gives you stuff to do for 1-2 hours. It is mainly a collection of old Porsches with a few Volkswagens and other early German cars thrown in. There is a small cafe with very limited selection of snacks.
  • Great museum. Must see in Hamburg. You will see moving cars, planes, boats and trains. Different miniatures of different places and countries. Including day and night vision.
  • This is a bad display. Few cars and messy layout. Stay away
  • A very interesting museum dedicated to some of Germany's motor racing, military and civil manufacturers. Beautifully laid out and very well lit in a wonderful modern and contemporary warehouse conversion. Written displays are in German and English but videos only have German audio, but the images tell the story! A wonderful selection of desirable and priceless cars from across the years displayed on various levels of the property. Easily accessible by lifts and stairs between levels, and there is also a small cafe for drinks and snacks. There's a shop with a selection of models, books and memorabilia. Plenty of seating throughout for resting as you could spend a couple of hours wandering. Not many interactive displays and touching of the vehicles is prohibited. There's also a driving simulator which consists of a TV screen, PlayStation and a stripped out Porsche to sit in. It's probably not suited for children due to the lack of interaction but it's ideal for any petrol head.
