Port of Hamburg, Hamburg
(4.6/5 based on 3,800+ reviews on the web)
Often called the country's Gateway to the World, Port of Hamburg is Germany's largest port and one of the world's busiest. The harbor covers about 74 sq km (26 sq mi), taking advantage of the branching Elbe River. Visit the port, which is almost as old as the city itself, to see how many of the old warehouses have changed into contemporary museums, bars, shops, restaurants, and hotels. Ultramodern buildings stand right next to well-preserved pearls of 19th-century architecture. By using our Hamburg tour planner, you can arrange your visit to Port of Hamburg and other attractions in Hamburg.

  • We made a tour of the barge. The ride through the warehouse district is very interesting. From the boat you can see about what constitutes a port. Shipyards, Elbe Philharmonic Hall, container port. All in all very exciting.

  • Only at our 3. visit in Hamburg, we came down to the harbour area. Don't deceive yourselves for this experience, it is both magnificent and exciting. You can also come by boat on the Canal tour.
