Millerntorstadion, Hamburg

4.6
Catch a game at Millerntorstadion, the multipurpose stadium at the center of Hamburg St. Pauli. It's mostly used for football, but Hamburg's American football team, the Hamburg Blue Devils, also plays here. The stadium is known for its friendly, raucous fans and is a great place to experience football German-style. Refreshments include beer and traditional German snacks. • I had the pleasure of meeting Millerntorstadion in a game of FC St. Pauli, and was an excellent experience. It's not a huge and modern arena, since the team plays in the second division of Germany, but the structure is much better than most of the Brazilian stadiums. I saw many elderly, people with reduced mobility and families with small children, all enjoying the game (or was it party?) with a lot of tranquility. I don't know what it would be like the tour in one day without a game, but if you have the chance to watch a game, do not miss! The entertainment there goes beyond the football field.

  • We have done to us leadership of the Millerntor Stadium and were impressed by the leadership. Read nice Stadium, interestingly designed which lasted over 2 hours and no wishes open. For football fans is a unique atmosphere

  • Live music on the forecourt, you can celebrate Stadium quite well before the. The opening of the season was great and well attended. The ticket office are also fairly fixed with ticket sales. The inlet is however part of a disaster. The access road or the path to the correct gate is crowded cruel, if much is going on. When the Hamburger DOM, it's even worse. The stadium itself and the atmosphere are however good and attractive.

Where to stay in Hamburg

The most dynamic part of the city is the St. Pauli area, also known as Kiez. This is where tourists and locals brush shoulders among the many bars, shops, and sites. Jungfernsteig, or Neuer Wall, is an upmarket area with brand name shopping and luxury dining. Consider a stay in the bohemian quarters of Altona or the Sternschanze/Schanzenviertel. These areas burst with character and offer out-of-the-ordinary shopping and dining experiences at lower prices.
