  • The bridge is one of the landmarks of Hamburg. Unfortunately, you can cross them only during special events on foot. The views over the Harbour's worth in any case the effort. If you like it faster, you can use the car. Unfortunately one can not stop but on the bridge, so that it is only a short pleasure. The bridge can be seen well from the bottom. Particularly well, it goes from one of the harbour ferries, which you can go under the bridge. Alternatively, the paths along the Köhlbrands offer interesting perspectives. The construction with helical ropes shows her beauty. The Köhlbrand belongs to the busy waterways in the port of Hamburg. Even the large bulk carriers and container ships use the Köhlbrand to achieve the appropriate terminals. A height indicator is attached to the köhlbrand bridge, which can be seen well from the shore. For the passage of vessels, it will display the free clearance.

  • A major component in Hamburg. An important part of the skyline would be lost without them. Still beautiful

  • Is just a busy bridge. Who can guessed that the shipping, container handling and road transport so rapidly increases. Sometimes, it is a real imposition. As soon as a car or truck breaks down, it accumulates for miles. Des can sometimes occur width by a disruption of container terminals, then also nothing more goes public transport. It is a farce.

  • Beautiful
  • If I even want from the West to the East of the city on the weekend (or vice versa), then I often take the detour over the köhlbrand bridge (and thus of course also through the Elbtunnel). The journey over a total 3618m long bridge is always an experience, even at night - the port is brightly lit at any time. The clearance height is 53m and spans the 325m wide Köhlbrand. On weekdays, however, it is rather unnerving by the frequent traffic jams and constant construction sites.

  • Interesting building, one of the landmarks of the city. Suffer no more "up to date" because it is not up to the traffic of peak hours.

  • Unfortunately, too often a construction site. Otherwise, a ride on the köhlbrand bridge (also for Hamburg) is an experience every time.

  • A landmark of Hamburg, was also fiercely at her century building called, but the ravages of time. Also it is often no longer grown traffic. A new building will be discussed.

Where to stay in Hamburg

The most dynamic part of the city is the St. Pauli area, also known as Kiez. This is where tourists and locals brush shoulders among the many bars, shops, and sites. Jungfernsteig, or Neuer Wall, is an upmarket area with brand name shopping and luxury dining. Consider a stay in the bohemian quarters of Altona or the Sternschanze/Schanzenviertel. These areas burst with character and offer out-of-the-ordinary shopping and dining experiences at lower prices.
