  • Definitely suitable for art lovers of music and more. This adorable little two-story Museum is housed in a typical house where they recreated the lovely House of Brahms (the true birthplace of the great composer was destroyed during the war). Silver objects that belonged to the family, friends and photos scores, certificates (he earned a degree in Philosophy) photo of the young composer until his death; very curious about the cast of his death mask on display. You can listen to his works with headphones in each exhibition room, entering fully into the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly polite and personable. The price is low normal entrance 5 € and 3 € students. Recommended!

  • Brahms was born in Hamburg and he has lived up to its thirtieth. The city has made him an honorary citizenship granted on the end of his life and honors him now by means of those small but inspiring museum. On two floors are photos and documents and items on display that provide a picture of his life. But more importantly is that the visitors received by enthusiastic hostesses and gentlemen. These volunteers give their knowledge about Brahms like through and bring their enthusiasm for his music as saying on you about it. A must!
