  • The fish market is okay but the main attraction is the live bands and beer inside the old fish auction hall. Well worth a visit but on a Sunday morning it all stops at 12 noon so try and get there...  more »
  • So many people here. If you want to buy cheaper fish and fruits may come during 09:00am because shops will need to close 9:30am. Thus is the best time to grab most cheaper price .
  • Plenty of food and drinks, good atmosphere. Great for the early birds 🙌🙌🙌👍
  • A legend and a must-see for all visitors to Hamburg! Every Sunday from 5.00am - 9.30am since 1703 there is a huge traditional market where they sell literally everything for relatively cheap prices. From porcelain to fruits to fish, you can just find about anything just in the shadows of the legendary fish auction hall. Half the jungle is sold here directly in the pot and from the lorry, bananas fly through the air, plastic bags full of sausage go to the owner for a ridiculously low price. German market vendors are shouting their lungs out of their body, crowds of people in front of the traders' cars - you have to experience it (and it's worth getting out of bed early once to do so)! Lots of deal bags are available on the market, mostly being sold for about 10 euros. The bags can be filled with fish, fruits, plants or even pasta. Golden tip: take a fresh famous German fish brötchen to start your day perfectly. After you visited the market, visit the fish auction hall where a nice band is playing on Sundays, lots of people inside and a very nice atmosphere. Lovely experience!
