  • First, the entry of EUR 2 price is more than democratic and as the Museum is near other attractions, it would be shame not to stop there. As its name suggests, the Museum presents the history of customs in Germany. It is a more important subject than it looks to the political structure of the country because the fragmentation of Germany in many micro - with all its taxes and its tariffs - long slowed economic and political integration. The Museum also presents the not very glorious role of customs under Nazism, as well as in the relations between the two cold war Germany. There are also many objects that illustrate different aspects of the work of Customs officers today (counterfeits, tricks of traffickers...). The only downside is that if you do not read German, you'll enjoy not 100% of the Museum, even if a few basic indications are in English. As a German-language and Pro-German, I gladly give him 5 stars.

  • A beautiful modern Museum, the entrance fee of € 2 is virtually free. Downstairs contraband presented one of the present time and in the 1st floor of the past. All in all a nice Museum.

  • The price - to-performance ratio is great. You can look at here about 1.5 to 2 hours something.

  • A top Museum, all very nice and clean prepared, creative designs. It is also quite interesting to see what things were already smuggled. Even the top price - free entrance for children under 18 years of age, adults pay only 2 euro. Recommended in all respects!

  • A real hidden perl in Hamburg! Small, but very informative. Easy to understand the whole history of customs enforcement in Europe since the Roman Empire times till the current German Federal Customs and Border Service. Museum of customs, was truly amazing! Interesting customs and I didn't even though I was very surprised. Tariff history from BC to the present day Europe Germany and present well know. Admission is cheap and easy-to-go!
