Deichstrasse, Hamburg

(4.3/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Take a stroll along Deichstrasse, the oldest street in Old Hamburg. This canal-side street dates back to the 14th century and sits adjacent to the Speicherstadt, the city's warehouse district. The picturesque houses were built in the 18th century and have miraculously survived the Great Fire of 1842, the renovations waves of the early 20th century, and even World War II. Revel in a piece of Hamburg's rich history, and stop in at one of the many traditional restaurants and boutiques that line the Nikolaifleet port. • A very small road, which offers much for the eye and the palate. If you want out of the city centre in the port city, you can go through on the way here, then one has seen it.

  • I found this street accidentally, and we decided to have a look! Such nice views at the sunset! Some of the buildings are really old.
  • Part of a guided tour, we've come through the street. Very nice with their small homes. A look at the water side, if it is a narrow streets between the houses, worth. The little old Kramer shop is also worth a visit.
