4.2/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web
Take a stroll along Deichstrasse, the oldest street in Old Hamburg. This canal-side street dates back to the 14th century and sits adjacent to the Speicherstadt, the city's warehouse district. The picturesque houses were built in the 18th century and have miraculously survived the Great Fire of 1842, the renovations waves of the early 20th century, and even World War II. Revel in a piece of Hamburg's rich history, and stop in at one of the many traditional restaurants and boutiques that line the Nikolaifleet port. • Couldn't believe it, there's still an old city in Hamburg. It is really just a street. It is worth to schedule a break in one of the restaurants there after Speicherstandt or HafenCity. We very enjoyed it.

  • Could be called simply the dike road shopping street. Here beautiful houses from the old Hamburg are located there. Absolutely worth seeing.

  • Merchant houses from the 17th century. Here the great fire broke out in the 19th century. Today gastronomy is provided in the houses.
