  • Monday is the traditional Museum holiday but Bucerius Art forum is open, and even at a reduced price (5 euro). The Museum is in two storeys, and at the top there is a large lounge with green Arne Jacobsen furnishings. From the building, one can get a look out over onto Rathausmarkt square. We saw the exhibition "Venice-Stadt der Künstler" fun to watch, when we just a few months ago have been in Venice. The exhibition shows images of, among other things. Turner, Monet and Kandinsky. We also saw a film that tells how Venice is crumbling under the amount of tourists as well as the activity in the water, which is about to erode buildings.

  • Sure was the title of the exhibition "Verkehrte Welt. The century Hieronymus Bosch"checked by lawyers. And sure he progresses which is powerful reading. Nevertheless, the title of the exhibition is a deliberate misleading (I would even say deliberately). Not a single picture of Hieronymus Bosch hangs in the exhibition! Also, very few paintings hang a hand in the exhibition fully. The rest are countless engraving to show topics from Bosch's pictures in thumbnail size, just as they were varied by other artists in the decades afterwards. In turn the majority of it comes from the Kupferstichkabinett Dresden. Who there ever was... Too bad and annoying. You can bestaunen...dort what you expect then in a video represented 2 paintings in snippets.

  • The current exibit of artists inspired by Bosch is in our view not as interesting as Bosch own works and we would rather spend our time on them. The exibit consists of two rooms (one downstairs and on...  more »

  • I enjoyed my visit to the Museum very much. The exhibit was excellent, the staff were very friendly. I could have read through the exhibit titles in German, but I cheated and took the audio head phones in English which gave further details and saved time. I did not visit the cafe, but it looked nice, especially the cakes and coffee. I would visit again on a future trip from Scotland.
  • Owsome place
  • well
  • Small but nice! Many good exhibition, pretty cure with interesting and meaningful art objects. The audio guides are well done, should be used and in any case, otherwise is to little information in the exhibition. Unfortunately, many pensioners who like to make everything and block the checkout. Hours unfavourable unfortunately for people working.

  • Be careful: like it advertises with big names, make sure one should but the addition in the title of the exhibition. "THE CENTURY Hieronymus Bosch" at the Bucerius art Forum it is custom to name an artist as an example of an era, but only to respond to the environment. In fact, not a single picture of Hieronymus Bosch hangs here but! Very pretty expensive!
