Barclaycard Arena, Hamburg

3.8
Barclaycard Arena is a popular entertainment venus. Opened in 2002, the impressive, dome-like structure can seat up to 16,000 people for sporting events and concerts alike. The stadium has hosted plenty of big-name performers over the years, such as Sting and Muse, and is also home to local handball and hockey teams. Grab a snack at one of the many concession stands. Be aware that access to the arena is generally limited to event attendees. • We were there tour to the Marvel and on the whole, the arena is very big and clean. The staff was also very nice. Unfortunately you can't pay the entire arena only with credit card. So anyone who doesn't, should take enough cash.

  • We have purchased the Platinum package and it was a very quiet evening, stress-free with peak food. The staff at the Platinum area was very nice and attentive and made the evening an experience. Who needs a taxi after the show pre-ordered it better directly or it brings up about an app.

  • I liked to organization if the two concerts I was at. And you can buy great food and drinks. There is everything you might need during a concert.
  • Great place, very modern. Went to see handball final four and it was fantastic
  • Backstage well organized for the event I was at. Arena itself and its room set up for the team is good.
  • Nice comfortable seatings, great variety of delicious food. Easy to reach.
  • Great place for events, food and restrooms were top notch

Where to stay in Hamburg

The most dynamic part of the city is the St. Pauli area, also known as Kiez. This is where tourists and locals brush shoulders among the many bars, shops, and sites. Jungfernsteig, or Neuer Wall, is an upmarket area with brand name shopping and luxury dining. Consider a stay in the bohemian quarters of Altona or the Sternschanze/Schanzenviertel. These areas burst with character and offer out-of-the-ordinary shopping and dining experiences at lower prices.
