Don't miss a chance to see some of the most important archeological finds of the past century at Landesmuseum fuer Vorgeschichte, featuring exhibits designed to engage and intrigue visitors of all ages. Founded in 1825, the museum contains a collection of nearly 15 million items. The most notable exhibit is the world-famous Nebra sky disk, the world's oldest concrete depiction of cosmic phenomena, which dates to about 1600 BCE. The bronze disk's inlaid symbols are generally interpreted as a sun or full moon, a lunar crescent, and stars. • We liked it very well, the sky disk as a highlight especially. Unfortunately, the mammoth was gone (had to time to pee, hahaha) due to overhaul. Small drawback, however, is the unnecessary hundreds knife and arrowhead. The Museum is good and modern made.

  • Dear readers, this is just great. Sky disc after 3600 years! Ausgegraben - and the history to do so! And he museumsshop quite excellent. Only to recommend. This alone, Hall is worth a visit.

  • Coming of Usedom, Hall was on our route. Opportunity to see the NEBRA sky disk once. We didn't hold on us that a next home was still in front of us. Then the wonderful exhibitions captured us. The Museum is a very good example, how you can present interesting and appealing Collections. The exhibition runs from the start of the stone age up to the Roman Empire with incredibly many artefacts. Great wall with the stone hatchets "Stone hatchet rain", the shaman, the Gold Cup by Krottorf, beautiful pieces of jewellery, explanations of the Teutonicism, finely decorated ceramics... Of course, the coronation is the sky disc. In the dark room you see them in a glass box, well lit, by both sides. Interesting is also the short film about the history of the sky disk, of robbery excavations to the exhibition at the Museum. A real thriller! Now, we have been but two hours in the Museum and could do everything on it. It is one of the most beautiful museums we have ever visited.

  • The permanent exhibition is very interesting and informative. The many time limited apart from exhibitions which not are. The staff is very nice and can help you. The prices are reasonable for the services believe. Only photos are not allowed which is a shame. Because the exhibition is very nicely designed. Just the sky disk is skilfully set. Way to go!

  • Highly interesting and well-designed exhibitions on exciting topics. The permanent exhibition and of course the sky disk fascinate me as well. If the mammoth is back, there's a high point. I like the architecture of the House.

  • One of the most beautiful and most interesting museums in Europe. Although relatively small, but all areas very interesting decorated down to the detail. Very good explanations and motivated staff. The NEBRA sky disk is a highlight. Definitely worth a visit.
