The Museum is overall good and both a visit to the Museum is suitable for a weekend getaway in the summer, but especially the Christmas market value. The location Gets a full recommendation from us.

Really, this Museum offers something for everyone! Like the great restored buildings which blend naturally into the landscape of the Mäckingerbachtals. Others like the lovingly crafted furnishings and decorations of the buildings. The shown machines and production processes are valuable for technically interested persons. The well-made, many events are also worth a visit. I like the "total package". I always like to visit this museum.

I'm warning to think this is just for parents with small children. Not at all. The open-air museum is great, offers something for everyone. Of course, should be present some interest in old mechanics/engineering or the life of the "past", but the tour itself, spacious and very beautifully, is already of high quality. A great - and certainly one of the most attractive investments in Germany.

  • Super
  • A charming place for everyone. It is a large site with 18/19-century houses. You can see much there, experience, and information. We have allowed us time on the day to read a lot and sometimes the soul to relax! It is a quiet place with many homemade and local products such as honey, beer, bread... It was a great experience and the things that we tried were very tasty! We would visit there again drive. You should allow at least 3 hours to look at a lot alone.

  • We were now the second time here. Now, we've seen the whole actions, the offerings are in the season. Very interesting and you always learn something new. For children, there is a great playground where they can try out. Our highlight is always fresh bread or also the delicious mustard from the swords to buy mill.

  • Super, exciting and informative. Very nice employees. When continuous rain, sure not a nice goal but a shower can easily sit out in one of the houses.
