  • The North German brick Gothic Cathedral is worth a visit. Outstanding and impressive is the "The floating"-the Memorial for the fallen of the first world war with the face of Käthe Kollwitz by Ernst Barlach.

  • Who loves Barlach and his sculptures, is right here. The "drifting" is well worth a visit. This man with eyes closed and all evil looks, is impressive. The Cathedral is also worth a visit, because it embodies the history of Güstrow in its heyday. A nice DOM!

  • The town has two large churches, one is the Cathedral in Güstrow, the other is market Church. Who would like to see also some of Ernst Barlach who comes to Güstrow. Who does not know "The floating"? This can be seen as a replication of the original in the Güstrow Cathedral. Be photographed there unfortunately not, but can be about the Church in advance of a photo permit. The Church in relation to the grant of this permission quite generous, man would just avoid that is flashed in the Cathedral. And that's understandable arguably, this venerable building. Who has more time, which should take a walk around the Cathedral, you can walk along the fortifications of the town of Güstrow in the direction of the former Hospital, gets a beautiful view from the South towards the North of the Cathedral.
