  • The town has two large churches, one is the Cathedral in Güstrow, the other is market Church. Who would like to see also some of Ernst Barlach who comes to Güstrow. Who does not know "The floating"? This can be seen as a replication of the original in the Güstrow Cathedral. Be photographed there unfortunately not, but can be about the Church in advance of a photo permit. The Church in relation to the grant of this permission quite generous, man would just avoid that is flashed in the Cathedral. And that's understandable arguably, this venerable building. Who has more time, which should take a walk around the Cathedral, you can walk along the fortifications of the town of Güstrow in the direction of the former Hospital, gets a beautiful view from the South towards the North of the Cathedral.

  • Like I'd seen me the impressive Cathedral from the inside. You look at the photos on the Internet, it really is a beautiful Cathedral. We had bad luck, that was just a funeral in the Cathedral, where we of course wanted to bother.

  • We wanted to see just the floating of the East by Barlach, but the Cathedral offers more. The high altar was impressive and the figures of the praying Duke with his two wives is also worth a visit. The Barlach sculptures can be achieved by a door in the Nebenschiff and very impressive.
