We had booked a guide to who has not met my expectations. The grounds on which the brewery is very nice and spacious. Leadership within the brewery will start with a short film which tells the story of the brewery. There is then divided the group. During the 90-minute walk one explains the various work processes. At the individual workstations, one is again confronted with the history of the brewery. This is in the form of objects that was used during this time. Unfortunately, the bottling plant stood still due to the break of the employees. This was very disappointing as this is still the heart of the leadership. The employee who conducted the leadership gave himself much trouble and could answer the questions of visitors. The children who were in our group it have rather bored. For this reason, I recommend to take with no children. The souvenir shop and the brewery are restaurant worth a visit. Prior to the visit of the restaurant, a reservation is recommended because often fully booked.

Super friendly service and extremely accommodating! Dogs get a bowl of water and a treat. Kids get an activity booklet with some colour in pencils. The Menu has a large selection of Black Forest specialties. I highly recommend the Schweinshaxe (pork leg) - very good value for money at €15. Good salad bar. Excellent beer from the Rothuas brewery. Very clean WC facilities

Our request to sit at a round table was ignored by 3 staff, one of which began serving other customers while we waited to be seated. When we sat at the round table we were rudely ushered into a table in the corner. Very strange customer service drove us away.

Rothaus, State Brewery of Baden is located at the north edge of the village of Grafenhausen in the southern Black Forest. It is one of Germany's most successful and profitable regional breweries, and in the past decade has become well known outside Baden as well. The brewery remains 100% owned by the state of Baden-Württemberg. The brewery was founded in 1791 by the Abbot of St. Blasien Martin Gerbert to encourage economic growth in the Black Forest.
