  • On December 29, we visited the featured Castle in Gotha. The individual rooms and exhibitions are impressive and interesting. Very unfriendly but we were welcomed at the box office. The cashier was granted not the due to us discount of € 2.00 per ticket. Discount is there only for designated, she said curtly. So beware. Because it stands to guests with Spa map what us later once again confirmed the tourist information.

  • It a trip was worth us recently to Gotha, to explore the Thuringian land exhibition "The Ernestines - a dynasty characterizes Europe" in the Ducal Museum, which is below of the Schloss Friedenstein, the exhibition (was held from April 24 to August 28, 2016). The connection of the Ernestines to Gotha and Coburg to the European ruling houses is still impressive. In the Schloss Friedenstein we discovered interesting exhibitions.

  • During our visit, the broadcast of "Art & clutter" was filmed by the Bavarian broadcasting. As a result, a non-negligible part of the Castle (among others in the Hall of mirrors) was not to visit. The full entrance fee was required but still I find this inappropriate. Photo permission costs €5 - we go yet? Is a gall real! P.S. members of BR crews need to no overshoes attract - the remaining visitors already - what is that Nice please? This mess reflects poorly on the castle administration I think.
