  • The mine complex has been kept as it was in 1988 when the mine closed, making the experience very authentic. There are several optional tours, as well as the buildings now turned into wonderful museum...  more »
  • something very great guides below ground for every visitor. By wheelchair accessible adventure tour. The insight into mining and history is great.

  • Very exciting place that you must not fool yourself. The only appeal is to the many many signs with descriptions are only in German. Otherwise it is a great museum, so set some hours of. Also they important talk with our beautiful children about what it was like in the good old days:-) The trip into the mine with the original mine train is the main attraction here. So don't deceive yourself for this. The part takes an hour. There are a limited number of seats on each trip, so be sure to ask when you can come up with. It's a bit of waiting worth it and you will get a ticket to your specific departure so you can come back. There is a cafe on site, but otherwise, you're probably down in Goslar town afterwards. Set a whole day of Rammelsberg and Goslar to visit. It comes you do not regret

  • A fascinating place and really worth the visit. It has been well maintained but not modernised into a 'tourist attraction'. Make sure you take at least one of the underground tours (more, if possible) to see the tunnels and the working conditions that miners lived in over the centuries.
  • Simply fascinating. Whether it makes a tour underground or above ground visited the mine, the entrance money is well invested in each case. I experienced there very competent staff that hung in a whole mining area with heart and passion of the time knew how to report.

  • Awesome for someone like me, who had so far no idea of mining. Presented interesting and entertaining...

  • Site that is worth the trip despite the Museum part where the debility of museography is particularly accomplished--harmonious set of industrial buildings well preserved and very representative - Museum supposed to show (apparently?) different aspects of technology, history of... of the site. See last so has time to waste. -mineralogical collection beautifully presented - remarkable use of old temporary facilities of processing of the ore for the presentation of exhibitions. Proof that museography can be at the service of the visitor and the objects. -guided under the ground with route by train. Very interesting for all audiences. -guided tour underground, walk, a set of galleries and installations on the theme of water (water, use of hydraulic energy...). Pretty difficult course that requires good shoes and headphones (supplied!). Exceptional interest which justifies the trip to Goslar
