Nordturm der Marktkirche, Goslar
(4.7/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web)
An almost castle-like church built in the 11th century, Nordturm der Marktkirche is known for its stained glass windows from 1250, nine of which depict scenes from the lives of the two church saints, Cosmas and Damian. Admire the ornate design of the 16th-century baptismal font--but don't forget to look up to see its matching lid suspended from ceiling. Hike up the 230 steps of the church's north tower, and you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the town and surrounding area. A visit to Nordturm der Marktkirche represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Goslar trip builder to plot your vacation.

  • Church with high towers that define the appearance of the city. Inside the spacious, nice and quite original altar. Department strikes love for detail in wood carving. Pay attention to stained glass. Visit necessarily.

  • As always when the family and I get around in the world's cities are the many churches well worth a visit. The main church of Goslar is no exception. It gives a good impression of a city when you also visit the Church. You can dwell a little in your thoughts, maybe light a candle for one you are thinking about or just let yourself impress of arktiktur and interior design.

  • Located directly on the market square you can't even see over the Church. Its large door invites to linger and meditate a. Captured by the sacred splendor you need a few minutes to get everything to work. Despite all hustle and bustle, you have opportunity to stay quiet and silent prayer. The actual meaning of this site. Absolutely recommended.

  • The organist seems to play for several hours each day for his own pleasure on the organ. The interior of the Church is typically Lutheran Spartan but with a beautiful painted pulpit. Fantastic!
  • Located in the heart of Goslar, the Church can be climbed. Nice view for little money on the old city. Worth watching...
