  • We live in close proximity to the Nordsternpark and walk very happy there. Apart from events (E.g. night of industrial heritage, classic car Festival and concerts in the amphitheatre), the Park offers large lawns, which invite you to linger or also industrial Colliery buildings which provide an industry historic beauty as witnesses to a bygone era, the Park. For those who like something sportier like, who can try the climbing wall and for the younger ones, there are two playgrounds and a water playground is open only during the summer months. In addition to the Bill with the Hercules on it (from the Gelsenkirchen Horstern affectionately "Horst" called) the Heiners offers a slightly better food with mediocre service. For those who like something informal, which is rather in the adjoining beer garden or the little Café next to the large playground on the other side of the red double-arch bridge. We like to go with our small children in the Park, also because you can discover new things. For some euro, you can go with the elevator on the North Star Tower to overlook the Park. From up there you can see the wrinkled butt of "Horst" anyway, excellent...

  • We were in the video art museum in the North Star Tower with observation deck. Great Museum (almost like in the Zeche Zollverein, shut only in small) to the part very interesting video installations. Super views. The Park was dreary late November, its charm but had nevertheless.

  • This Park is one of the favorite places for locals. Especially a lot of interesting things here for children. Giant (forgot to scale) operating model railroad delights not only from collectors. There are vozmozhnosto with views of the Canal, and sit for a glass of beer.

  • Great place to relax
  • A remnant of the Bundesgartenschau the Nordsternpark doing here still. The water landscapes for children are active only in summer, but even so, the Park offers plenty of opportunities. Also for walkers is taken care of here, the roads are well maintained and clean.

  • Free of charge. Typical Ruhr area. Real. It's great. On beautiful days in the autumn / winter, or a dream. In short holiday in the pot.

  • We are always happy to again with both the kids and the dogs. The park itself is very extensive and you can also directly to Canal walk and for dogs and water. For the children there is also a great playground, which expands in the summer also to water game elements.

  • Class playground! The children on the water portion forward just at high temperatures. To achieve Super with the wheel on the Emschetweg. Drive regularly with the bike here with my son, even if a way is less than 35 km, it is just worth!
