  • Even if the Division of Germany not close has experienced with younger generations, is a Memorial and especially the visit as very important and should be a must for everyone. Before the memory fades, I think it's good that there are people who seek to preserve, thank you!

  • Very interesting. Be sure with a guide book, very friendly and patient staff. You should visit this Memorial to get an understanding of why Germany should never again be divided and what the people on both sides experienced over 27 years ago.

  • Scary thought but this museum is located on the former death strip! Comprehensive exhibition, quite well done. Although still little multimedia. Sometimes you must take hold also the time, something to read. We are still something new here. The former American Camp beyond the border fence completes the impression and is also worth a visit.

  • A really well done site of remembrance and education. Just as fascinating as dismal tour. The guide is absolutely recommended. Even for interested and informed there still new insights. A visit to this historic place is also recommended for school trips and school trips.

  • Highly interesting! System consists of "point Alpha" as a U.S. base on the Hessian side, and the "House on the border" on Hesse/Thuringia page. The €6 entrance fee you pay only 1 x and then in both memorials. The two by about 500 m are connected reconstructed border plant with Watchtower, fence and all bells and whistles. I'm not one of the cultural needs around the clock and runs in any Museum, but that was really super interesting!

  • Major destination. History to the touch and well explained. Here you should have participated at least once a time witness leadership and also the exhibition in the House on the border is a worthwhile "Obligation" - program.

  • Memorial gives you a good insight in the time of the cold war and authentic insights into the lives of people in the border area. In addition to military exhibits you can find several video installations, where witnesses come to the word.

  • A must - not only for those interested in history. Great exhibition, much information and great Freia real along the old inner German border!
