  • We have migrated up from Elmau out. the ground floor is already unique, what but is located on the 1st floor beats everything. I had a very competent leadership and she was twice as long as my wife had predicted. Last year, she was up here without me. Today I think such unimaginable something building in this place. Also, the Guest House is also fantastic. An absolute must when you are in Garmisch.

  • My husband and I decided to take this hike based on the fact that we thought it was gonna be about 6 hours roundtrip. I think that's based off of if you take no stops and you keep a steady pace. The w...  more »
  • Cabin in the mountains built for Ludwig II. Its location in the mountains near Partin-Kirchen makes it pretty hard to reach, but at the same time interesting. Climb it can only walk a few hours via the partnachklamm (which itself is of interest as a tourist attraction). Visit the cottage you can only Šahenhaus in summer-route runs until mid-October. Nice and stay the night in the mountains next to the House there is a small hotel, a mountain shelter. About booking a place for the night, you should take care in advance.

  • I slept there for one night and I paid 20€ for sleeping room which shared with 6 people and an awesome breakfast. It was nice place to visit and it's not so hard to hike
  • I was more impressed by the nature around than the palace. It is surrounded by picturesque mountains and an easy broad road leads to eat, which is good for mountain bikers.
  • I like the Satellite high altitude alpine garden in Schachen.
  • Women definitely visit value. Climb coming of course not so easy but is the King's House on Schachen anyway if you first up is worth it. The first floor of the building is an incredibly luxurious Oriental Hall, you really should've seen
