Experience the enchanting, medieval architecture of one of Freiburg's most historic landmarks, Freiburger Münster. Anchoring the city's historic old quarter, the 13th-century cathedral boasts an impressive combination of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Wander through the cathedral's main sanctuary to admire its beautiful stained-glass windows and medieval sculptures. Then climb to the top of the 116 m (381 ft) high spire for views of the Black Forest and surrounding vineyards. Afterward, you can peruse the booths at the daily fresh market in the cathedral square. • Amazing Gothic church. It is undergoing outside restoration, but inside is fully open. Just an amazing sight to see. Beautiful organ, sorry we didn't get to hear it.
  • Simple a gem of the Gothic architecture. A master piece stolen from the time, literally breath taken especially if you visit the tower!
  • The Cathedral is very nice, but for my interesting thing is the market which is installed in the square, where you can see home products and the field, talking to vendors, lively and interesting.

  • Beautiful cathedral. You can walk up the steps and have a beautiful view of Freiburg. And if you get a chance to hear one of the (four) organs you absolutely should in this gorgeous acoustic and old building!
  • The Münster is under construction at the moment. It's still a impressive building and is the central place in Freiburg. On a Saturday morning a market takes place on the square around the church.
  • This is a magnificant gothic church. It looks huge on the outside. The inside is dark and had facinating statues and stained glass windows.
  • Amazing to me to see how they have so much open space created with stone, and that it is still standing. Several nice cafes in the same plaza.
  • I loved it there! I got to attend a service on June 4th, which is a Catholic holiday. The bells were ringing beautifully. I got to go up into the bell tower, and I was up there when the bells rang at 14:00. It was a highlight for me. The gothic architecture was so amazing, and the way it's been preserved is fantastic. I very highly recommend seeing this church. Especially if you love history and/or art.
