Shopping Center MyZeil, Frankfurt

3.8
#2 of 17 in Shopping in Frankfurt
One of the largest shopping malls in Germany, Shopping Center MyZeil opened in 2009 and hosted more than 1 million visitors in the first two weeks. Here, ride the longest escalator in Europe as you go from store to store, or head up to the top floor to enjoy a snack under the glass roof. The architecture adds to the shopping experience; the walls are formed by thousands of triangles of glass that let in lots of natural light. The mall houses about 100 shops and businesses, including a spa, a gym, and a place for kids to play while parents shop. • To say it immediately ahead: modern architecture is not my case. But there are some exceptions and includes the Myzeil that always pulls me under the spell of unusual glass façade. Inside, these small shopping mall with nice shops, which have usually a very high-quality offer convinced me. In terms of services the Myzeil has to offer with the repair shop for watches by "Mr. Akhtar" or the small café etc.. There are also some seating, where you can have a short rest or properly store bought things on the floors.

  • Chains, shops, such as everywhere, nice small shops, snack options, that's all. I look always go back once in, go to shopping to peek or after Sachsenhausen.

  • Shopping centre with modern architecture. There are a few known windows. Most is free access to the panoramic view from the top floor

  • Beautiful mall with breathtaking architecture. The shopping is decent and though the food options within the mall are pretty limited. The outdoor area around the mall is just as interesting and worth a walk around as well. Definitely worth a visit when in Frankfurt.
  • Nice place to look around and shop. Nice restaurants. Must visit once to see the architecture. Pretty impressive.
  • Great if you want to do some shopping of have food during your Zeil (the street the MyZeil is at) visit. Loads of fast food chains and some more healthy places. There was a little ice skating ring at the top during winter. My tip is to pass the first smaller escalator and take the second one just behind it. With it you go up to the highest floor and can make your way down through the little escalators in the back left of the building.
  • It's handy to get to when you are living in the city, and has most items to be found, go to the fruit stand before he closes, everything is going to be half priced
  • Nice mall, not too big and crouded. Very well orgenized and easy to get buy.

Where to stay in Frankfurt

Hauptwache, Konstablerwache, and the Main river enclose the heart of the city, an area of activity with a range lodging options. The old section of the Sachsenhausen area is also an epicenter of activity with a range of accommodations; it also offers a vibrant nightlife. For short stay, consider lodging in the Bahnhofsviertel area near the main train station, which provides easy access to the city center and to international train transport.
