  • Highlights are the large, partly original skeletons of dinosaurs and mammals. But also the Geology Department with a focus on Volcanism and the extensive fossil collection are worth the visit. The exhibition is completed by insect, bird, mammals and reptiles/amphibians departments changing special exhibitions. Tickets cost 8 euro (adults), there are several discounts, special exhibitions cost extra.

  • Frankfurt is a city full of museums, one of them is the Museum of Natural history. It is about 15-20 minutes walk from the central station (Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof). The building itself is worth seeing. It has within it a large and comprehensive collection of dinosaurs and other fossils (I loved the T-Rex and the hall dedicated to the evolution of elephants). You can also see a large collection of insects (including butterflies and beetles). In addition the Museum has a more complete collection of birds world. Undoubtedly one of its main attractions is to see "Lucy", the australopithecus some 3.5 million years ago. * CURIOUS * the Museum holds many events, among them the night of Halloween, in which is a dinner inside the Museum with all costumed attendees. Ideal to go with friends, family (both for youngsters as adults) or making a single visit.

  • Were as a couple in the Museum and have taken many new impressions. I was especially glad to see how big some animals really are. Often you have through that reading an incorrect perception, can be seen here very clearly.

  • Nice museum, good for little kids too. Visited there during summer vacation and used Frankfurt card. Our 1 yo daughter enjoyed the dinosaurs display a lot.
  • Great museum but the only English speaking employee apparently retired. Maybe 5% of the signs show English text. The others do not. So if you don't speak German you can just see stuff with no idea what or why it is.
  • Awesome! you really can enjoy your time there. Do not judge by the small size of museum from outside, you will need many hours to just walk around.
  • Fascinating expositions, my favourite ones the small room with our human ancestors and the anatomical museum Minus: A little bit pricy even for students
  • Very nice historic museum, very big, lots of things to see.
