Liebieghaus, a sculpture museum, is housed in a 19th-century villa. During your visit, you will see a large, fascinating collection of figures from a range of cultures, including Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and even the Far East. Statues are displayed both inside and outside in the surrounding garden. Some of the pieces include a Romanesque king's head from a statue from the Île-de-France, a marble statue of Athena, and an Ottonian crucifix. We visited this museum during the "Gods in Color" special exhibit. Another exhibit in the lower level is "White Wedding". Both were interesting and presented in an educational and appealing manner...

Spent a few hours there and was glad I made time to visit this place. A beautiful range of exhibits there, especially those gorgeous sculptures. True work of art. Definitely recommended!

Well worth visiting, it's full of amazing sculptures and Ivory.
-
The coloured reconstructions of ancient statues were pretty interesting.
-
Lovely museum with great sculptures especially from Renaissance but also the old Egypt sarcophagus were very impressive. It is not very busy on weekends.
-
Came to see the Gods in Color exhibit - which was FABULOUS!! Disappointed that wireless wasn’t working, and therefore the audio program in English that they offer to accompany the exhibit was not available. Still fabulous exhibit. I was immersed for two hours.
