Kleinmarkthalle Frankfurt, Frankfurt

(4.5/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
Rebuilt after a bombing in 1944, the building that houses Kleinmarkthalle Frankfurt is more functional than beautiful--but the market within draws food-lovers from all over the world. Wander past the vibrantly colored stands of fruits and vegetables, past the butchers and bakeries, and try not to get just a little bit hungry. Sample some local wine, or peruse the imported delicacies from around the world. Look for the crowds that form around lunchtime, and join them in line for a taste of homemade potato salad, sausages, or grüne Soße, a local specialty made from hardboiled eggs, sour cream, and a special combination of herbs. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Frankfurt holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Kleinmarkthalle Frankfurt and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The whole little delicacies at the various stands can perfectly survive the gray season and dream away to other places.

  • It acts very unspectacular from the outside, the small market Hall in the Centre of Frankfurt. Inside, the building houses about 150 different levels that make shopping a real experience. There is much exotic but also much hessisch dignified. Thus, the market hall is also a reflection of the inhabitants of Frankfurt. The Gallery is bordered by a small balcony. Here you can enjoy his just purchased Vesper wine with a good glass. At the main entrance is the art lovers, one of the best modern antique shops of the city. Visit the market hall is always a treat.

  • ...und preferably before the break through the possible renovation threatens (currently at the earliest end of 2017). A really great selection of superb food. A good way to have a small or larger snack. A truly wide range of everything. Where the quality is good, sometimes the price is accordingly - so here, too. But it's worth.

  • The price is a little high and the place is a little crowded, but it is by far the greatest food gathering in Frankfurt and truly has amazing fresh food as well as eat in and drink options.
  • Still the best place to get your meat especially Metzgerei Hoos
  • We stumbled upon here over the weekend but will definitely be going back, with cash in hand. What a great atmosphere! Everyone had samples to choose from and were super friendly to the kids. Definitely a place to see.
  • Is a great market that has a wide variety of food available and a great few places to eat too!
  • The best place to eat and buy fresh food.
