Kleinmarkthalle Frankfurt, Frankfurt
(4.5/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
Rebuilt after a bombing in 1944, the building that houses Kleinmarkthalle Frankfurt is more functional than beautiful--but the market within draws food-lovers from all over the world. Wander past the vibrantly colored stands of fruits and vegetables, past the butchers and bakeries, and try not to get just a little bit hungry. Sample some local wine, or peruse the imported delicacies from around the world. Look for the crowds that form around lunchtime, and join them in line for a taste of homemade potato salad, sausages, or grüne Soße, a local specialty made from hardboiled eggs, sour cream, and a special combination of herbs. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Frankfurt holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Kleinmarkthalle Frankfurt and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The small market Hall invites you to paint a peaceful morning through the stands and here and there a little something to buy, and something delicious to eat at a booth and / or to drink, the small market hall is a feeling, I want to compare it to the Naschmarkt in Vienna - where is the small market Hall in Frankfurt in a Hall, and protects well before the rainy weather , with children, it's nothing more, because the bored, perfect for a walk with his partner his in any case.

  • The small market hall is much more than just a tourist attraction in the Centre of Frankfurt. She is the green heart of the city since the beginning of 50 years. The small manageable market hall with its curved asymmetric prestressed concrete roof offers everything a gourmet's heart beat faster: fresh fruit and vegetables, spices and herbs, fish, bread and bakery products, meat and sausages. On the traditional Beef sausage stalls people stand in line any time of the day, to a piece of "Worscht" hot standing to eat. In addition to the flowers and plants stands, "Feeding stands" have established themselves more and more. The small market Hall has become a similarly popular place for gourmets: Spanish tapas and ham specialities, fresh Italian pasta, Greek and Oriental dishes and an impressive range of fresh oysters and the international culinary offer complete seafood. Some stalls are located on the Gallery, which offers a beautiful view on the goings-on in the Hall. A much-visited Aussschank of the Hessian Rollanderhof Winery is located on the outdoor balcony and downstairs typical Frankfurt specialties can be enjoyed in the Marktstubb. Thus, Frankfurt has a market / gastro concept implemented in more and more cities and city malls for more than 50 years. The small market Hall has a charming authentic athmosphere - visit (the most hungry)!

  • The price is a little high and the place is a little crowded, but it is by far the greatest food gathering in Frankfurt and truly has amazing fresh food as well as eat in and drink options.
  • Still the best place to get your meat especially Metzgerei Hoos
  • We stumbled upon here over the weekend but will definitely be going back, with cash in hand. What a great atmosphere! Everyone had samples to choose from and were super friendly to the kids. Definitely a place to see.
  • Is a great market that has a wide variety of food available and a great few places to eat too!
  • The best place to eat and buy fresh food.
