  • The church was gorgeous. Right downtown and worth the 15 min walk through. We were able to gear where we were by the tall steeple.
  • Built by CA. 1460-1520, the Carmelite monastery, a late-Gothic cloister, is worth a visit. It is known by the murals by Jörg Ratgebs in the cloisters. The Museum for pre-and early history and the archaeological museum is located in the southern part of the monastery. In the northern part of the town Archive presents itself.

  • The Gothic monastery of the Carmelite order was largely destroyed in World War 2, was rebuilt but in the 80s in parts, and the archaeological museum and the Institute for the history of the city today serves as quarters, the former Frankfurt city archives. In the narrow vaulted plays the Cabaret "The dope" for decades. The really interesting piece of jewelry of the monastery are the restored mural by Jörg Ratgeb, painted between 1515 and 1520, in cloister and refectory.
