  • The I.G..-Farben building or the Poelzig building, (from 1975 until 1996 officially General Creighton W. Abrams Building or simply European Hedquarters) in Frankfurt am Main was designed by Hans Poelzig and from 1928 to 1931 built colors as Central Administration for the I.G... After the war, entered the American military administration there. Since 2001 the Johann Wolfgang, the building houses a part of the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. Since June 16, 2009, it is renamed in the Poelzig-Bau. So the conversion might be, the history must not be forgotten also here. The IG-FArben were directly involved in the Holocaust where they supplied Zyklon B for the gasification of concentration camp prisoners and it well deserved. by 2015, the Paternoster was put back into operation, and this is one of the few Paternoster functioning in Frankfurt.

  • The IG-Farbenhaus is an impressive building and an impressive area: it houses for quite some time the Goethe University. If you have the opportunity to listen to lectures in the building, one should perceive this in any case because many architectural elements from the 1930s are preserved in the building. The area itself is spacious. Of course you may also look not before the story of the colors close IG - but don't judge the grounds and the buildings colors not just from the point of view of the IG. Both falls short.

  • It is green, for university students in a quiet atmosphere. Art is a paper-like material made in various countries, interesting.
