Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof, Frankfurt

(3.6/5 based on 2,400+ reviews on the web)
Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof, the Frankfurt central train station, has the most railway traffic in all of Germany--with at least 350,000 passengers traveling through daily. Passengers maneuver through a single level with 24 platforms and 26 tracks, making this possibly the world's largest one-level railway hall. Original construction of this Neo-Renaissance structure was completed in 1888. The newer outer halls are more Neoclassic in style. Announcers call out information in English and German, and taxi drivers typically await train passengers outside. If you're here at night, you'll be pleased to find many shops still open. • From Frankfurt International Airport without changing trains will arrive in about 10-15 minutes. To stay in this area, and hotels in the area can be useful. Food Court, Burger King, McDonald's, you can also dine. However, including around the Japanese sensation is not so clean.

  • Arrival from the airport, the airport access from the underground home. It is useful because there are coin-operated lockers near the entrance on the first floor in just a little sightseeing in transit time.

  • The Frankfurtr Haaptbahnhof has 2 DB lounges, one each for 1st and 2nd class. In both you will feel quickly at home, you can get free drinks, etc. In the lounge of the 1st class, jobs are missing however.
