Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof, Frankfurt

3.4
#4 of 52 in Sightseeing in Frankfurt
Landmark Tourist Spot
Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof, the Frankfurt central train station, has the most railway traffic in all of Germany--with at least 350,000 passengers traveling through daily. Passengers maneuver through a single level with 24 platforms and 26 tracks, making this possibly the world's largest one-level railway hall. Original construction of this Neo-Renaissance structure was completed in 1888. The newer outer halls are more Neoclassic in style. Announcers call out information in English and German, and taxi drivers typically await train passengers outside. If you're here at night, you'll be pleased to find many shops still open. • Easy to get in and out. No ads on suspicious objects and people. A huge number of cafes and shops. A spacious hall and a lot of cash register cash registers. Everywhere the inscriptions and pointers to make it easy to navigate.

  • Good Service but in My opinion Not the best Rates..
  • The range of services is very good. Unfortunately, the employees of this branch are sometimes not very customer oriented.

  • My Bank has no branches. But through travel Bank I can pay a toll free cash on my account. And until 21:00. Just great service.

  • I bought today a travel card and must charge. I was told this be done under travel Bank... "my account". I think but not 'my account', only 'my account'. This is the same, but it unsettled. It would be good if the online pages clearly, simply and clearly could be designed in relation to the travel card. That send a message to customer service did not work also. My nerves...

Where to stay in Frankfurt

Hauptwache, Konstablerwache, and the Main river enclose the heart of the city, an area of activity with a range lodging options. The old section of the Sachsenhausen area is also an epicenter of activity with a range of accommodations; it also offers a vibrant nightlife. For short stay, consider lodging in the Bahnhofsviertel area near the main train station, which provides easy access to the city center and to international train transport.
