  • A jewel succeeded the Archtikten Metzendorf and the garden city is lovingly maintained by the Foundation. On guided tours, make sure then can also the show flat visit be. Book appointments via the Ruhr Museum!

  • Here you can wonderfully stroll and thereby see the great architecture and urban planning. It comes to no longer like a city in the Ruhr area in front. From downtown you will very quickly with Metro (U17), get off station "Leaves way".

  • Coming from the architecturally not just fascinating Centre of Essen on the Margarethenhöhe in the South, you feel transported in a bygone time in another world: the beginning of the last century built settlement for workers by Krupp delights with their closed and intact image of the city. A walk, especially when beautiful spring weather, is balm for the soul and always rewarding!

  • The settlement is managed by the Margarethe Krupp Foundation and is considered as an example for developing residential. It has over 3092 units in 935 buildings. 50 hectares of the settlement are set as unbebaubares forest land. The settlement is regarded as Germany's first Garden City.
