Grugapark Essen, a botanical garden established in 1927, plays host to Germany's largest collection of climbing plants, a bonsai garden, a medieval herb garden, wetlands, and more. Wander through the various gardens to see plants from around the world. Visit the greenhouses, spend some time in the sensory garden, or settle on the grass for a picnic. • The "Parking lights" visit, if it takes place (February / March), unless a visit is always recommended.

  • This garden is really huge. When you arrive at the entrance, it seems like a simple little place, but as soon as you enter (paying a ticket 4 euro) begins the real show ... The area is full of greenery and fantastic colors, ducks, pelicans and other animals free in different ponds inside. It's also, along the way, a great waterfall and paths within the dense vegetation. I recommend going to stepping early so you have time to visit them all. Very easy to reach by train and metro. For those who like nature and relaxation, the Grugapark is the place. You will not regret it.

  • Simply relaxing and impressive at the same time and also late October more than worth a visit. When you consider how long the Federal Garden Show in Essen is already here, we know the Park is maintained with any consistency. Even if now the dahlias to stay over the winter have been excavated and the small Grugabahn no longer runs, it has still enough attractions such as the salt or the Ftnessgeräte, the bridges over the water or the waterfall, the rock Board or simply expanses and neat ways to move and enjoy healthy air and a quiet atmosphere. You can escape from everyday life and another world delve into - the world of flora and fauna, as she can present themselves more beautiful little.
